About Svart Records
Straightforward overviews of chiptune and retro-inspired electronic music, the independent artists behind it, and how genre tags make discovering new releases easier.
Who we are
Svart Records is a publisher focused on making music discovery easier to understand. Through softsynchub.com we cover chiptune—the genre of electronic music inspired by the sound chips of classic video game consoles and early home computers—along with the independent artists creating it today and the genre tags that help listeners find it. Our aim is to translate how retro-inspired electronic music and its discovery tools actually work into plain, practical overviews that readers can use.
Our mission
Our mission is simple: help listeners spend less time hunting across scattered platforms and more time enjoying the music. Chiptune sits between nostalgia and modern production, and independent creators release albums through many different channels. We explain what genre-based discovery is designed to offer, how browsing by tags works, and where the details matter—without the jargon or the sales pressure—so readers can decide what fits their own listening habits.
Our values
We aim for honesty about how things work. When we describe a music collection, we describe what it actually offers, including how previews and downloads are handled. Prices are set by individual artists and labels and vary by release, and the right choice depends on your own taste and how you like to support musicians. We do not rely on invented statistics, exaggerated claims, or artificial urgency, and we always point back to official sources for the details that matter most.
Why choose us
We focus specifically on the practical side of discovering music: finding an artist whose sound fits your mood, moving from one release to related styles through genre tags, previewing before you decide, and supporting independent creators directly. Our content is written to be read once and understood, not skimmed and forgotten. When we mention a platform or a discovery habit, we explain the reasoning behind it rather than simply asserting a claim, so you can judge for yourself whether it fits your situation.
